Wat Phra Dhammakaya Solomon begins from the great initiative and compassion of Most Venerable Dhammajayo. This was his great intention to share the crucial way of life from the Buddha and Dhammakaya meditation knowledge of the Most venerable Phramongkolthepmuni ( Sodh Candasaro ) from Thailand to all worldwide. In 1997, the first Sangha then was appointed to travel to the Oceania region led by Phra Palad Sudham Sudhammo (Now: Phra Sudhamma Yanvidesa vi.). This includes Australia, New Zealand, and of course, the Solomon Islands.

Wat Phra Dhammakaya Solomon has started the peace project in 2009. Later on, it was registered into the non-profit organization called “65th Dhammachai Education Foundation” under the Charity Trust. The address of the organization temple is located at 865 Bakoi East, Kola Ridge, Honiara. Since then, some monks went there for 1 and 2 years working time. A certain time later this project was supported by Mr. Manop Phumkhem, who purchased land to offer and then invited monks to work for the project.

The purpose of the temple is that improve the quality of mental confidence by working with other charities including government and private sectors towards inner peace projects.
